TIP: We recommend to set up tags and verify tracking works well at home, before you head to the golf course.

Make sure you have the latest version of Golf Pad app installed. TAGS are supported starting with Golf Pad version 12.0 and require iPhone 7 or later and iOS 12 or later with an NFC enabled phone. Click here to buy TAGS now.

Activate Premium (optional)

If you don't already have Premium features, you can activate the complimentary license code (optional) included in the Golf Pad TAGS welcome insert.

Open the box to locate the Welcome Insert. Your complimentary one year Premium code is printed on the bottom of the insert. If you already have Premium, save the code. Use it when your current subscription expires or give it to a friend. It's transferable and won’t expire until activated.

❖ open Preferences (gear icon) from the start screen

❖ tap User profile

❖ tap Details next to License

❖ choose option Apply code

❖ enter your code

❖ tap Send icon

If you have trouble redeeming the code, click here for help.

Attach TAGS to your clubs

Attach TAGS to all clubs, including putter. Use a twisting motion to gently insert the post into the club grip. Do not over-tighten.

Tip: if you have particularly tight openings in the grips, use a tee to soften them up and/or add some water or lubricant when you put the tags in. If you have bigger than usual openings in the grips, thread some electrical tape for secure fit.

Enable TAGS

Start Golf Pad app and open Preferences, then select Golf Pad LINK / TAGS

Enable 'Golf Pad LINK / TAGS' and select 'Scan TAGS with your phone'

Assign clubs

Within the same screen, tap on "Assign club for a tag" and touch the tag against the top right edof the phone (this is where the antenna is located).

Select the club from the list. Repeat for all clubs.

You are all set, you can now start a round! See this page for instructions on how to use TAGS and Smart Lock during a round.
