Why Does the Screen Stay On When Golf Pad TAGS are Enabled?

Modified on Thu, 4 Dec at 11:18 AM

Most phones power down NFC radio automatically when the screen is turned off.

On iPhone, Golf Pad uses Scanning Mode to keep both the screen and NFC active while disabling on-screen controls to prevent accidental taps.

On Android, the screen remains visible when the "Screen Always ON" setting is enabled. If you scan TAGS with your phone in your pocket, the screen and scanning remain active as well, but the display is dimmed and accidental touches are prevented.
