I often lose the ball (hitting the woods for example), then have to “drop” it in a reasonable position. The problem is that I want to score the drive, but I don’t want the drive to show up in the shot history.
Is there a way to record or process it so it’s easier to track?
Here’s how it actually works (under modern rules):
Ball lost or OB (stroke-and-distance)
You add 1 penalty stroke
You must replay the shot from the tee
That next shot is your 3rd shot

What do you mean by score the drive? If your drive is obviously in the s***, it's 3 off the tee. If you're walking up to an area you think your ball went, and then taking a drop, you need to add 2 penalties on, then take your next shot. Or, if you're pretending the drive didn't happen, then it's 3 penalties lol.

In golf, “score the drive” just means you must count the tee shot and apply the correct penalty under the Rules of Golf — you don’t get to pretend it never happened. https://support.golfpadgps.com/support/discussions/geometry dash lite
