I've suspected this for a while but today proved it. Today whilst playing 9 holes, I used my putter tag as usual and then when stood by the hole, used the set flag option on the watch. When I checked the map after the round, the flag and putt locations were some way off where they actually occurred. I'm talking 10' plus off. Is this normal and expected GPS behaviour or is something up?

That is normal and expected GPS behavior since it's only accurate to within several yards. So truth is, if you want more accurate putting stats, you have to edit that data manually. I usually set the pin location manually, and then the putt location based off an estimated footage
