Rules-compliant mode serves as the updated version of the previous "regulation mode" that some Golf Pad users may be familiar with. Below is a detailed explanation of playing with rules-compliant mode disabled or enabled.
The Golf Pad app includes some features that do not conform to the official Rules of Handicapping, such as Plays Like distances, club recommendations, instant shot distance feedback, and more. These features are intended for practice and game improvement, and cannot be used in tournament rounds or rounds posted to your Handicap IndexⓇ.
Rules-compliant mode - Disabled
Rules-compliant mode disabled serves as a "practice mode." In this mode all Golf Pad features (both conforming and non-conforming) will be available to golfers. Rounds played in this mode will not be eligible for posting to your Handicap IndexⓇ.
Rules-compliant mode - Enabled
Rules-compliant mode enabled turns off all non-conforming features (plays-like distances, club recommendations, etc.). The Rules of Golf prohibit access to certain information during tournament play, or when posting scores to your Handicap IndexⓇ. We are working with the USGAⓇ to enable posting of eligible rounds to golfers official Handicap IndexⓇ.
