Hello,
First of all, a big thank you to the developers for the latest update to the statistics dashboard. The interface is much more user-friendly, clearer, and gives a far better overall view of our game and the areas we need to improve. It’s a really great evolution of the app.
I do, however, have two improvement ideas that seem relatively simple to implement since they mainly rely on data that already exists in the application.
First idea (a topic that has already been discussed on the forum): there seems to be an issue with the interpretation of the Strokes Gained data. The total SG is never equal to the sum of SG Driving, Approach, Short Game, and Putting, even though in theory it should be. Some shots do not appear to be included in the different categories, which creates uncertainty regarding the reliability of comparisons between parts of the game. That’s unfortunate, especially when trying to accurately identify weaknesses and compare the relative impact of each area of play.
Second idea: expand the use of the SG concept across more of the app’s statistics. SG is probably the most meaningful statistic when the goal is actually to improve.
A simple example: today, in Statistics > Approach, the app shows greens hit based on distance. But this metric has limited value by itself, since it is obvious that the farther you are, the lower the percentage of greens hit will be.
On the other hand, displaying SG Approach by distance would be extremely valuable. It would allow players to objectively evaluate their approach performance across different distance ranges, independently of the inherent difficulty of the shot. This type of data would be far more actionable for guiding practice and improvement.
Thanks again for all the work being done and for the continued support of the product!

Is it possible to view the new statistics with a custom date range as with Classic?

Parry, our technical team would like to investigate this as it's not supposed to be this way. Can you send the details to support@golfpadgps.com and they'll look into it for you!

Jason,
The centerpiece of the recent release is a "fresh new look" for your performance data.
Enhanced Visuals: Charts and graphs have been modernized to be more readable at a glance.
Smarter Insights: The app now provides more intuitive takeaways from your rounds, helping you identify trends rather than just raw numbers.
Deeper Customization: New custom filters allow you to drill down into specific data sets (e.g., performance over the last 5 rounds vs. the whole season).
We've also added really interesting stats and insights you won't see anywhere else!

Gary, you can customize any club in your bag. Here is the link to our Knowledge Base article that will walk you through!
What you're looking for is step #5 where you "add" a club.

On the new stats release, I noticed that all historical distances are greyed out (I.E not included in the stats), but they actually are. The classic view also shows all shots NOT included in the stats. How do we know which shots are and are not included in the club stats now? Post round, I will select and deselect the really bad /shot shots and the really long ones (cart path, wrong pinning, etc). Now, since all are not selected in the classic view, I have no way of knowing what's in and what's out. I don't want to go back and have to select or not select EVERY shot, for EVERY round for EVERY club all over again.

How do I customize which clubs I currently use in my bag. For example, quite often I use my seven hybrid and my eight hybrid, but you don’t list that as a choice. How can I change that?
