Distance tracking seems inconsistent when switching clubs mid-round

Hello Golf Pad team and community,

I’ve noticed that during recent rounds, the distance data becomes inconsistent when I switch clubs manually in the middle of a hole (especially between approach shots and short game). In some cases, the recorded carry distance doesn’t match what I actually played on the course.

I’m using GPS tracking with manual club selection enabled, and I’m wondering if this is expected behavior, a known limitation, or something related to GPS refresh timing or shot detection logic.

Has anyone experienced similar issues, or is there a recommended best practice to ensure more accurate distance tracking when changing clubs mid-hole? Any clarification from the Golf Pad team would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi! Thanks for the detailed description. To better understand what is happening, could you please clarify what you mean by switching clubs manually? For example, are you recording shots using in-app shot tracking (tapping to add a shot and selecting a club), or are you scanning club tags when you take a shot?

It would also be very helpful if you could share a few screenshots showing where you see the incorrect distance data (for example, the shot details or club statistics). This will allow us to see exactly how the shots are being recorded.

Please also create a new support ticket directly with our support team and include these details and screenshots there, so we can investigate the issue more thoroughly.
